For Children

AirdrieKids are some of our favorite patient’s and tend to adapt to appliances and braces very well.

Many people ask at what age their children should be evaluated for orthodontic treatment.
We recommend that children should be seen by age seven
At seven the teeth necessary to evaluate the jaw alignment and bite are in and if your child requires early intervention to guide the growth of the jaw or incoming teeth it can be done.
Early intervention can help prevent impacted teeth, reduce tooth extraction in the future, address mouth habits and eliminate abnormal swallowing or speech problems.
If you’re unsure if your child will need orthodontics to help ensure a healthy smile, have an orthodontic consultation done, there is no referral necessary and it will help to alleviate any concerns you may have.
Dr. Liss is available to address any concern you may have regarding your childs teeth alignment, call the office to book for a consultation.
